MPW Winds Down the Year; Holds its Final General Staff Meeting

The Ministry of Public Works' general staff meeting coincided with the birthday of the Deputy Minister for Technical Services, Prince D Tambah, who is currently in Foyah supervising road works. On Wednesday, the day before today, Minister Roland Layfette Giddings also observed his birthday in good health.

Towards this end, the employees at the general staff meeting presented gifts to the Minister and his principal Deputy in observance of their birthdays, while appreciating the firm cooperation within the leadership that has culminated into the success upon which the Ministry prides itself today.

Making remarks, the Minister gave special recognition to hard-working employees whose efforts have shaped the narrative at the Ministry of Public Works. Amongst those are the Directors of ESAFE, Zoning & Land Use Planning, Soil Lab, and the Head of the Bridge Unit at the Ministry. Minister Giddings stressed that his recognition of these employees in no way invalidates the work done by others, as their turn could come. "This recognition should encourage those who do not take their responsibility seriously- to know that we are watching as situations unfold, Minister Giddings averred.

The Minister applauded the workforce for the success of the Ministry during the course of the year, stating that the Ministry would not have this deserving recognition had it not taken the collective efforts of all of its employees. He encouraged and assured them that 2025 will be a resilient year for the Ministry, and that he is relying on the very workforce to do exceedingly great to achieve whatever daunting their tasks may be. "This is not about me and all other ministers at the Ministry, it is about Liberia and the prospects it holds for our children unborn."

The Minister thanked all the Deputy and Assistant Ministers, Directors, Heads of PIUs, Heads of Units, and every employee for a successful year and wished them a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous Happy 2025.
